I hosted a dinner party for my sons 25th birthday on Monday on the patio. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out we were served with the upmost best top notch service. The hospitality we were given was just a breath of fresh air. The staff, the ambience. the food was an easy 10/10!!! Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant for any occasion! Keep up the great work here you are definitely praise worthy! I hope to celebrate my birthday here as well next month!
Holy smokes! We did not know this was a restaurant until our buddy was going to play live music there. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent, and talk about a neat atmosphere. We got the smoked turkey club, street tacos, and the queso with brisket! 10/10 recommend!
I was skeptical of this place at first because I thought it was a wine bar but let me tell you....that chicken fried brisket was PHENOMENAL especially with the Jalapeno gravy on it! I can say without a doubt I was pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. The Mac n cheese was seasoned well and cheesy just enough to my liking. The fried Brussel sprouts were so good as well. Whatever dry rub was they used had the fries and Brussel sprouts tasting top notch. I would 100% go here again in fact I’m going to go on Monday if they’re open for Memorial Day! I’m looking forward to trying more of their food items! This place is a “must eat at” restaurant. The service was 10/10.
My friend and I had dinner here last night for the first time and we absolutely loved it! The atmosphere, service and food were all outstanding! It got really busy as we were finishing dinner and especially for a Weds, so it is obvious that many others love it too. Definitely give it a try! We had the Firebomb chicken with okra and Chicken Fried Brisket with mashed potatoes.
Great food and service! My Ribeye was as good as some more expensive steakhouses. My wife's Salmon was great also. My Old Fashioned was good as was her Margarita. Location and atmosphere is great too, in old downtown Midlothian. We'll be back!

OMG! This place is a hidden gem for dining out. It is a small, quaint building with food that is not only delicious, but affordable. I had to take a lot of it home, because the servings were overflowing. It also serves mixed drinks and other beverages. The place had good vibes as well. Love it, and I will be back soon with family and friends.
Penn to Paper is the perfect elevated dinner date night spot that still somehow maintains a low-key atmosphere. We have visited about four times now since the restaurant changed to Penn to Paper, every time was a great experience! For lunch one day, I had the Cuban brisket sandwich with a side of fries. Sandwich is perfectly toasted Texas toast, with chopped brisket, pickles and a yummy mustard sauce. The brisket was very juicy, and the helping of brisket is generous and spills out on every bite. We’ve gone to dinner a couple of times here, and the vibe is sophistication meets chill. Dim ambient lighting suits the designer looking furniture and cocktail lounge in the back. Last night they had live jazz music, which was awesome. We tried the chicken fried brisket (a little dry, but to be expected when frying brisket) with very creamy mac and cheese and crispy fries, the pimento brisket sandwich (SO GOOD) and tempura brussel sprouts (they were a little soggy), and our mixed drinks were top notch. The staff is always very friendly, and we have received great service even on very busy nights. This will definitely be one of our weekly date night rotations in the future.
